ICT Association of Georgia held a meeting with international financial institutions and development agencies

On June, 21 a meeting was organized by ICT Association of Georgia’s President Anatoly Motkin with the key players of IT industry, members of ICT Association and international institutions including European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), United Nations in Georgia (UN), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the World Bank, Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA), and Bank of Georgia (BOG).

The meeting was also attended by representatives of Sweeft Digital, iKnow.ge, Alta Software, Exadel Georgia and EPAM Systems.

The sides discussed the digital economy development of Georgia, particularly, the importance of IT sector development in the country, exposure of IT players to local and international financing, possible solutions to lack of talent pool on the market and availability of the information in the field.
ICT Association presented its aims and plans to bring the best practices to the place and possibility to enhance Georgian IT sector. In addition, Mr. Motkin introduced a newly appointed chairman of the ICT Association of Georgia Luka Shonia to the participants.

International agencies and financial Institutions expressed their willingness to cooperate and provide support to the ICTA and IT sector.
